Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) often have limited time to spend with you. When you do get a SMEs time, you need to establish credibility and maximize the information you collect. Where do you start? What questions do you ask? Too many people stumble through the SME interviews and don’t gather all the necessary content before their time is up. An unstructured approach rarely works.
In this session, Jennifer DeVries will provide a structured, systematic approach for gathering content during a SME interview. At the end of the session, you will be able to:
- Take appropriate actions to prepare yourself before you interview a SME
- Use proven methodology and templates to conduct and efficient and comprehensive SME interview
- Document and verify the content you received from the SME
- Gain credibility and buy-in from your SMEs and their managers
