In addition to STC Chicago, the Society for Technical Communication has 115 additional chapters and 22 special interest groups. We invite you to learn more about STC on its membership page and consider joining or renewing your membership. If you are a current member of STC, you can change or upgrade your membership at any time.
Behind the scenes, our volunteers work hard, and we can always use an extra hand. Ways in which you can help the chapter include:
- Meetings and workshops: Suggest a speaker, be a speaker, write a meeting review for the website or newsletter, teach a workshop.
- Competition: Submit an entry, be a judge, help sort/prepare entries for judging, plan the banquet, organize the awards.
- Byline/Website: Write an article, member profile, meeting or workshop review, conference preview or summary, case study, tutorial, or trip report.
The Alliance is a consortium of local organizations whose members are in the business of communication, design, technology, professional development, and personal development. This partnership supports the professional contributions of their members and promotes the value of those contributions in the Chicago marketplace. Each organization offers innovative programming, professional development, and networking opportunities for its members. Visit The Alliance page for a list of participating organizations and to learn more about Alliance benefits.
