STC Chicago is sponsoring one continuing education grant (up to $500) for current STC Chicago chapter members for any technical communications–related event or resource. Examples include
- Attendance at a conference or seminar
- Books or other materials
- STC membership (for 2023)
Qualified submissions will be entered into a drawing and the winner will be selected at random. STC Chicago reserves the right to decline any submissions that are not related to technical communication.
Requirements
This grant program is only open to STC Chicago chapter members for resources purchased or events taking place in 2023. To apply, send an email to scholarship@stc-chicago.com with the following information:
- A detailed description of the event/resource. For example, provide links to the conference website, description of the book, etc.
- Cost/estimated cost.
Applications must be received by STC Chicago no later than March 31, 2023, 11:59 PM Central Standard Time. Applicants will be notified if their application meets the eligibility requirements or if more information is needed. A random lottery drawing from the qualified submissions will determine the winner.
Reimbursement
The winner must submit a receipt of the event/resource to the Scholarship Manager at scholarship@stc-chicago.com. The winner will be reimbursed the total cost of the event/resource up to a maximum of $500.
