Continuing with our fall theme of career development, we are partnering with The CARA Group to offer you a half-day Career Development Workshop. Beginning with a light breakfast and networking time, you will have the unique opportunity to be mentored by recruiters who will help you with resumes, portfolios, and interviews. The workshop will be divided into four key facilitated segments and will offer an optional one-on-one session to review either your resume or portfolio. The workshop agenda includes:
- Make the “Write” First Impression (Facilitator: Kim Naftzger)
Objective: Participants will be able to identify the ways in which they can organize their information and create a resume that best showcases their professional story.
- You are Your Portfolio (Facilitator: Sr. Consultant, Elizabeth Burke)
Objective: Participants will be able identify what work examples should be used to create a winning portfolio.
- Face It, Interviewing is a Skill (Facilitator: Lisa Vitale)
Objective: Participants will be able to demonstrate how to prepare for an interview, present their professional story, and close the interview.
- Open Forum: Q/A and Session Wrap-Up (Facilitator: Gina Arinyanontakoon
- OPTIONAL: Resume or Portfolio Review* (One-on-one Sessions with a CARA Recruiter or Sr. Consultant)

About the Workshop Facilitators
Lisa Vitale is the Lead and Senior Recruiter of The CARA Group, Inc. In this capacity, her focus is building CARA’s Consultant pipeline and managing the recruitment function of the business. She is primarily responsible for helping CARA grow profitably by qualifying competent consulting resources for client engagements. Lisa’s particular expertise in fostering relationships with candidates and consultants comes from a deep commitment to the industry and to CARA. She has been an integral part of the CARA legacy for more than 20 years. Her experience in sourcing, interviewing, evaluating, and selecting candidates has resulted in a variety of corporate Recruiting Awards. Her results-oriented, customer and consultant focus has earned her the respect of her colleagues and consultants. Lisa embodies our corporate PURE values and she is a champion of CARA’s culture.
Gina Arinyanontakoon is a Senior Recruiting Manager of The CARA Group, Inc. In this role, she works closely with the Account Executives to ascertain the needs of the client to provide talented consulting professionals the opportunity to achieve their goals. Gina develops and maintains strong relationships yielding success, quality results, and credibility. Gina is well respected by her consultants and she has been with CARA for over 10 years.
Kim Naftzger is a Senior Recruiter of The CARA Group, Inc. In this role, her focus is helping to build CARA’s Organizational Change Management practice by qualifying and engaging the most talented resources in the marketplace. Kim’s expertise in recruiting comes from her 30 years of business experience. Throughout her career, she has been successful in a number of roles including recruiter, technical project manager, account manager, marketing professional and retail operations manager. Kim is committed to always putting her consultants first.
Elizabeth Burke is a Senior Consultant with The CARA Group, Inc., and President of STC Chicago. Elizabeth’s experience encompasses technical writing and instructional design and development as well as establishing and managing technical publication teams for several companies. With over 20 years’ experience, Elizabeth has applied her skills in developing documentation and training in a variety of industries including software, financial, pharmaceutical, insurance, sales, human resources, IT, educational, telecommunications, intermodal transportation, and industrial manufacturing. As one of CARA’s senior consultants, Elizabeth has served as a technical writer, peer interviewer for CARA candidates, and member of the Consultant Advisory Board. This is Elizabeth’s second term as President of STC Chicago.
