Part I: Career advancement through personal branding
What’s special about you and how do you communicate it in a memorable way? Jack will explain how to energize your career by developing and marketing “Brand You”.
Part II: Honing your workplace negotiation skills
Do you know how to negotiate for what you want? In the second part of this workshop, Jack will demonstrate how to negotiate with confidence, whether you want a promotion, a project assignment, or just a new place for lunch.

Linda Verwey manages the Information Design and Development team at the FIS Milwaukee Brown Deer campus. She is coordinating the implementation of the Content Technologies DITA Exchange solution on SharePoint, beginning the transition from traditional desktop publishing to an XML authoring methodology.
MaryKay Grueneberg, currently a Tech Writer III at SAP, was a Tech Pubs hiring manager for 10 years at Apropos Technology. Since then, she has been responsible for recruiting and interviewing contract writers for individual projects at the companies she has worked for as a sole FT writer. At SAP, she is responsible for all documentation for a suite of 7 mobile products. Her most recent contract project was to design, create, and implement a customer wiki for her client using Confluence.
Elizabeth Burke is a career Technical Writer and Instructional Designer who built and managed Technical Publications teams at three separate companies in three different industries – intermodal transportation, financial-banking, and software development. All three teams consisted of both experienced and entry level team members and supported all divisions. Currently Elizabeth consults with several companies developing technical documentation and learning and development materials.
Olivia Jordan is Senior Manager of Client Education for Enghouse Interactive. She responsible for managing the transfer of product knowledge to new clients as well as clients upgrading to the latest version of EI’s Contact Center Management software; this requires development of course materials and exercises.

Gina has more than eight years of experience sourcing and recruiting learning professionals for consulting projects at CARA’s clients.
Kristi Aldag is currently an Independent Recruiting Consultant and is working at Career Education Corporation. She has 20 years of staffing experience within the creative, interactive and marketing industry, and has held sales/account management, recruiting and managerial positions at companies such as Aquent, Onward Search and The Boss Group.
